Whever I Hang My Hat

Because I was so very angsty about finding an apartment I thought I'd let folks know that I did find a place. I had to make some compromises in choosing it (not ideal location) but I believe that I will be happy there. It will be a cozy crucible; a place to hold who I am, have been and am becoming.

I wanted to take lots of pictures to share but really, it doesn't look like much now. I will get the keys the second week in March and will try to post more then. Basically it is a one bedroom in Albany Park. It is fairly spacious with a dining room. It is on the third floor and has lots of windows and light (YAY). Best of all...it has a small private porch where I will try to grow food.

The building itself is not attractive. It has outlandish pink hallways. However, my door/unit is on a landing of its own which has a skylight above that whispers of Paris.

I am releasing some of fear I have been carrying this last month and am giving over to decorator's dreams and wild schemes of solitude and incubation.

I'm really glad you found a place. The wood floors look beautiful and cozy. Maybe one of these days I'll come for a visit and see it in person.... After, your fab decorating, of course.

I'm glad to hear you found a place! And it meets at least some of your needs. I also think pink hallways are better than many other color choices.
