Come on into my garden...

One thing I've loved about FB and LJ is that folks are posting lots of pictures of their gardens. Perhaps it is not exciting for everyone to take in shot after shot of brazen tomato plants, coy carrots and slinky bean vines...but I love it.

Visit my little green peep show ...

The lettuces have loved all this cool, wet, cloudy weather. These next weeks we'll be eating the bulk of this so that other, more heat tolerant plants can take their place. Next year I want to plant more spicy lettuce, arugula and spinach...these were by far my favorites

We've enclosed two keyhole beds to fend off critters. The north bed is rockin' the Brussels sprouts, as well as red and purple carrots, parsnips and golden beets

The south keyhole bed has tomatoes (large and grape), basil, and eggplants.

Pots around the beds have herbs, nasturtiums, grape tomatoes, peppers and marigolds.

The pergola sits beside a little solar operated fountain (which you can't really see in this shot, but trust me - it's there - off to the left). I love its babbling, happy noises

The pergola, new angle

This lemon balm is planning to take over the world...just so's ya know.

When I left my old apartment, I left a garden I had worked on for years and that was hard. I did, however, bring over some raspberry seedlings and they are thriving. This is one of the little raspberry patches that we've got goin'.

I begged my beloved Matt to pose...so he humored me. He is showing you how very fresh and edible it is back there...
