TUTA in Time Out Chicago

There are two great plugs for TUTA in Time Out Chicago this week.

The first, Drugstore Romeo, is rather glowing and states: if you’d told us at the beginning of this year that the fall show we’d be most excited about would be Romeo and Juliet, we would have requested transfer paperwork for Time Out Islamabad. But a TUTA R & J promises something more than another Shakespeare revival. (Chris Piatt). Piatt also talks a lot about TUTA's style, so if you've ever wondered what my theatre company does check out the full article here.

There's also an article about TUTA being robbed of a Jeff Nomination for "Uncle Vanya".

The Jeff Committee consistently passes over TUTA though our work has quite a draw and has elicited huge critical success...so this was a nice little bit of affirmation.

Wow...things are already heating up for R&J and we haven't even started rehearsal yet...sweet.

Alice Wedoff and Matt Holzfeind as R&J

I love R&J in just about any variation. I might have to try and make it up there for this! Plus I've been wanting to see you preform on the stage for ages now. :)

OMGs I would LOVE that. It would be very fun to have you here so I could steal some hang out time with you. Love, J

Thanks sweety. I'm a particular fan of the bard. In college my senior project was on Shakespeare's Globe and then of course I spent years teaching young people Shakespearean acting (which was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done...they were such smart kids). There's something about Shakespeare that curls my toes - so to get to perform his work with my favorite director is a bit of heaven. R&J is not my favorite...but I'll take it!
